In life we often end up places we least expect. All the plans we made up for ourselves suddenly doesn’t make sense anymore. And we can either choose to yammer about it all our lives and be victimized or we can choose to open up our hearts, be vulnerable and see all the beautiful opportunities life has to offer. It might not be that specific thing you wanted, but it maybe just might be the thing you actually need.

At some point in my life I decided to dive deeper into my inner self and give the real me a chance to co-exist. I decided to see the other side of life as it wants to be seen. Labels don’t fit my personality, ’cause we’re really not meant to be placed in boxes. Everybody is their own unique and authentic self and I respect that.

As for the human form of me, I wander this earth known as Sjefi Karto (actually my real name is Sjefilijefie Kartooetomo, but I will let mom explain that part). I am 29 years of age, but hey as they say “age is just a number”, so let’s not ever talk about that anymore okay. I’d like to think of myself as a very stubborn and playful person. You’ll always find me touching things I shouldn’t touch ’cause it just felt like doing that. I will not be able to give you an explanation.

In the life I chose for myself I profess as a project engineer. So feel free to call for any construction design and or build project. I’d be happy to realize it for you. What I actually do is prepare all the building details, ranging from detailed drawings to building budgets, planning construction and ordering building materials. Sounds confusingly uninteresting? Well for me it’s not, so leave that to me 😛

In the life that chose me I’m a yoga teacher and of course in a way that led me to writing. For now I’m just writing personal blogs for fun I suppose. But I like it and what matters more than doing what you like? Writing has given me a voice to let my heart speak for itself. As for those who know me personally I’m not the type to chit-chat just like that. So writing is kind of my therapy.

Other things I enjoy in this life are swimming, preferably in the beautiful tropical waters of the Amazon or just simply Suriname. I really really like our tropical forest, when it comes to that I’m all packed and ready to go. I also like crafting projects and have a weird love for office supplies and collecting used items to reuse.
